Election '08

I'm not into politics. I don't pretend to really know "the issues". But I do know this...

If Hillary Clinton gets the Democratic nomination I may be forced to move to Canada.
That woman is as crazy as her husband is horny...
I *heart* this man...
Well-spoken honesty should be worth something these days...
And besides he inspired this:

I'm an with you on Hillary. I think she is a nut! Power hungry, mean woman. I heard from someone that helped to protect Reno when she was in Col. one time she said the secret service and White House staff hated the Clintons because they were so rude and nasty to everyone in service there. This same person also told me that Reno helped drive and carried her own bags on trips. I have been trying to put you in my google reader feeds and it won't bring your blog up for some reason. Are you private and would that make a difference?

I'm really afraid that Obama is alienating a bunch of people - the people who are likely voters who pay attention to the minutae like who wears a flag lapel pin or who thinks we shouldn't attempt diplomatic relations with Iran. Basically people who can't see the forest through the trees.

And the thing is that while Hillary will pander to the extreme left, I don't think Obama will. He's actually mentioning God and all the other liberal red flags as a moderate would be wont to do and trying to convince people not to buy into the politics as usual.

But if Hillary wins (who as my friend points out wouldn't have a chance if she couldn't trot Bill out there at all her fundraisers) there seems to be no moderate or qualified Republican candidate either.

Rudy G is too inexperienced and Bushlike. Fred Thompson is an actor with no (as of yet) big picture understanding and Romney is the Republican John Kerry. I think maybe the fringe guys like Huckabee could be as refreshing policywise, but I don't know about their ability to lead and reach out and bring people with him. But Huckabee did get the Colbert bump!

Either way, color me depressed.

I agree about Hillary being insane... but not about moving to Canada. It's cold!

I'm waffling between Barack and Ron Paul. I gues if Hillary gets the Dem vote, then my choice is made for me!
